Getting to the root of root canal.
The tooth’s pulp, located in the root and hollow central chamber of the tooth, gives sensations of hot and cold changes. If the pulp becomes irreversibly inflamed due to trauma, cavities, or cracks in the tooth, severe pain and the eventual death of the pulp may result. A root canal gets to the root of the problem by removing the pulp and replacing it with a filler material that preserves the use of the root and crown of the tooth.
