Welcome to Awbrey Dental Group and the beginning of a happy, healthy smile.

On your first visit, you’ll complete a new patient acquaintance form. Of course, all information provided will remain confidential as per the Health Insurance Portability and Privacy Act (HIPPA).

Before any treatment, we will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and supporting tissues (gums and jaw joints). A panel of dental X-rays may be required, as it is a valuable diagnostic tool that enables the dentist to check between your teeth and under old fillings for signs of decay or disease. We will also perform a TMJ exam, oral cancer screening, smile analysis and bite analysis; check the integrity of individual teeth; and examine the gum and bone support of your teeth. During your appointment, you can listen to a CD or watch a DVD.  At the end of your treatment, expect a hot, moist towel to refresh your face.

Depending on your goals and the uniqueness of your dental health, a plan for your care may be established on this initial visit. About half of our new patient examinations require a return visit to our office so that we may discuss treatment options specific to your individual needs. After a discussion of your current oral health, we will review treatment options sensitive to your goals, budget and time requirements. Once you choose the recommended treatment option(s), we will provide you with a consent for treatment form, as well as a financial options and agreement form. Scheduling of your next visit is considered confirmation at the time it is made. Please let us know if any necessary change to your appointment date or time as soon as possible as it has been set aside especially for you.
